The mission of the Olfactive Scent Institute is to decommodify olfactory experience. It aims to share scent experience through interactive events, seminars, news and fiction about scent in art, design, gastronomy, and medicine.
Our first event series “What the Nose Knows” was held August 1st – September 12th at the University of California Botanical Garden in Berkeley, CA. This series of unique, interactive scent-based experiences of the Garden featured a talk or walking tour with a scent expert in various parts of the Garden including the Chinese Herb Garden, Asian and Californian sections.
Upcoming Olfactive events in San Francisco will feature scent artists, perfumers, wine and spirits specialists, and aromatherapists.

Gina, this sounds wonderful. Wish I could be there!
Can you make it an ongoing or annual event, so I can come to one some time on a visit ???
